세계적인 권위를 자랑하는 2017 시에나국제사진대회(Siena International Photo Awards 2017)의 최종 수상작이 발표되어 시선을 모으고 있다.

매년 우수한 사진작가들의 참여로 화제를 모으고 있는 시에나국제사진대회는 자연, 스포츠, 인물, 여행 등 11부문에서의 치열한 경쟁을 통해 최종 수상작들이 선정된다.

올해는 161개국에서 50,000점 이상의 사진 작품들이 출품되어 대회의 명성을 확인시켜 준 가운데 미국의 사진작가 랜디 올슨(Randy Olson)이 번개가 내리꽂은 네브래스카의 우드강에서 약 413,000마리의 두루미를 찍은 사진 작품 <Sand Hill Cranes>이 올해의 사진에 꼽히는 영광을 누렸다.

인도, 중국, 방글라데시, 터키, 쿠바, 미얀마, 바레인 등 수많은 국가에 걸쳐 촬영된 이번 최종 수상작들은 오늘을 살아가고 있는 우리 인류의 소중한 기록문화유산으로 그 가치를 인정받으며 전 세계인의 찬사를 받고 있다.
